This class is best suited for students who have some experience with watercolor painting. Each project will be divided into two parts (2 paintings in the 4-week class). The first part will focus on the planning stage such as gathering reference material, making composition and value sketches, and choosing colors. The second part will explore painting techniques such as: underpainting, wet-on-wet, glazing, or dry brush. Benita will provide instruction and reference material for each project, but students are welcome to use their own references and work on independent projects.
