Students will learn the basics of drawing with focus on the line, both contour and gesture, value contrasts, and perspective. Students will use various drawing materials, both dry and aqueous. Experimentation will be encouraged. Supply list on the website or at the gallery.
Supplies to bring to class: 2 Ebony pencils; 7 Drawing pencils including 1, 2H, 1F, 2HB, 2B, 2, 3B; 1 Kneaded eraser; 1 Mars plastic eraser; 2 Conte crayon sticks (1 package) black; 2 Conte crayon sticks (1 package) white; 2 Conte crayon sticks (1 package) sepia; 1 Drawing pad...Bristol board...9 x 12; Colored pencils...assorted...Dick Blick or Prismacolour...no Crayola.
