Fun Mosaic Weekend for All, February 2-3, (10am-1pm), Friday & Saturday CANCELLED
This informative and fun class is intended for beginning or self-taught students who want to learn the best practice in creating a mosaic piece, cutting china and glass, types and proper use of adhesives, china chard layout, and grouting. Students will complete a mosaic of their choice to introduce them to materials such as art glass, a variety of dishware such as porcelain or ceramic, glass and ceramic tiles, glass balls, stringed glass beads amongst a variety of odds and ends. Students are encouraged to experiment with color and texture as well as how to manipulate the materials to conform to their mosaic piece. All materials and use of tools are included. Tools are also available for purchase. Students will take home their finished mosaic as well as an instructional guide summarizing information taught during class.
