Students will learn the basics of drawing with a focus on line, both contour and gesture, value contrasts, and perspective. Students will use various drawing materials, both dry and aqueous. Experimentation will be encouraged.
Supply list: Sketchbook-bristol board 9 x 12, Grey pastel cold pressed paper, Drawing pencils 2H, F, HB, B, 3B, Eraser-Pick Pearl or Mars plastic, Ruler-6 inch, Graphite styx and Conte styx (red, white, and black), Colored pencils-Prisma color or Faber Castell, India and Sepia ink.
