Rita Moon Kain’s art is considered to be unique in her ability to express emotion, energy, and a sense of wonder. Being a multi-media artist, her images are created with paints, photographs, or textiles. The majority of her art develops spontaneously, letting her imagination give the direction of the artwork. Her love for travel provides the opportunity to artistically capture images with her camera from around the world. These images also give her inspiration for her mixed medium art pieces.
Rita, a longtime resident of the Chicago area, is the recipient of many awards including several Best of Shows as well as other awards and honors. She is also published in the International Library of Photography. Drawings have been donated to Foster Parents Plan for an international coloring book to raise money for needy children around the world. She received an award of excellence from Photographers Forum Magazine for their Best of Photography Annual.
