Born and raised on the East Coast. Migrated to the Chicago area in 1981. Went back to school during working years and earned a BA in Marketing from North Central College in 1999. Met and married my husband and we both currently live in Naperville. Finally, retired from a successful business career in 2019.
My penchant for art became evident after retirement when I joined the Naper Settlement’s Weed Ladies. We create designs and floral arrangements using dried and natural elements along with silk flowers. The money we raise from our shows directly supports the various children’s events at the Settlement. Suddenly, my artistic self-became full of color and light. I started experimenting with the use of acrylics and discovered another artform: painting! Something I’ve discovered this past year; painting is an ongoing process. It takes patience and practice while learning new techniques that will help your style to develop.
When not working with art, I’m a member of the Naperville Walking Club.
