Barry Skurkis
His Bachelor of Fine Arts is from the School of the Art institute of Chicago and Master of Arts Degree from University of Notre Dame. Participated in numerous local exhibitions and his art works have appeared at the Newport Museum of Art, San Diego Art Institute, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
His art has been included in the book “Art Scene, Chicago 2000” also listed in “Who’s Who in American Art”, “The Dictionary of International Biography”, “Men of Achievement” and “Contemporaries in American Art”.
His art was included in the “Earth and Sky” Exhibition at O’Hare International Airport. After more than three decades, he retired from North Central College in Naperville as Associate Professor of Art and served as the Chair of the Art Department. Currently, he is the Vice President of the Chicago Society of Artists.
