3-Day Art Journaling Workshop, July 11-13 (9am-3:30pm), Thursday-Saturday
Instructor: Laura Lein-Svencner
This workshop will have you repurpose paper, using found papers and altering with inks and acrylic paints to make gestural marks with collage elements throughout. You will learn the pamphlet stitch of book binding which will hold it all together. The technique of letting go and allowing oneself to be imperfect is a very large order to fill. This process will help you do just that in a small playful art journal. Paper for the inside will be created to add interest and spark inspiration along with other mixed media materials. Your journal will be a soft cover pamphlet stitch, 4 x 6 inches in size, perfect to pop in your purse or a backpack for spontaneous art journaling. There are so many ways to create a closure to your journal. You will be shown the wrapping process that will allow you a beginning and end to your journaling experience.
Some supplies will be included but make sure you look at the supply list for what you must bring below.
