Word Portraits Plus, October 5-19, (1:30-3:30pm), 3 Saturdays
Learn how to create a unique portrait incorporating drawing, hand-written text and color to portray features, hair, clothing, and shadows. Wes Douglas will explain word sources, photo sizes, planning, and tools, showing many types of portrait examples. Portraits can be of any favorite people, pets, or object (for example a car, boat, or house). All skill levels welcome; legible handwriting is helpful but not necessary. Must be 18+ years old.
Supplies List:
• Select a clear 8” x 10” or 9” x 12” headshot of your chosen subject, One pad or several sheets of 9” x 12” tracing paper, Pencil and eraser, One black fine line pen such as Micron 1.0, Pilot Razor point, Flair fine point), One 11” x 14” white illustration sheet or board, cold press (smooth), OPTIONAL: One roll of SARAL blue transfer paper, OPTIONAL: assortment of color fine point color pens (Sharpie, Tombow, etc.), OPTIONAL: assortment of bold point color pens (Sharpie, Prismacolor, etc.)
