Are you drawing-curious? Join realist artist Denise Laurin for a two-session introductory course to learn the basics of drawing. In this course, students will learn shading techniques, gain experience with recognizing and interpreting value,, and learn the secrets of chiaroscuro (light and dark), the technique developed by Renaissance masters to create the illusion of three dimensions on a flat surface.
Supply list: Graphite pencils: 4H, 2H, HB, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, 6B, 7B; kneaded eraser, Factis BM2 eraser, 9” x 12” or larger sketchbook. Pencil sharpener and (optional) Xacto knife for sharpening.
