Jacque made her public painting debut March
2005 in a successful two painter show with her husband, Gordon France at the
La Grange Art Gallery.
She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and
after graduation and marriage, taught art to children as an occupational
therapist. Jacque soon found she was busy raising her own family but
continued to paint as a recreation while developing as antique business that
has kept her traveling around the country.
Jacque attended painting classes at The La Grange Art League for three years
and now teaches a popular oil painting class at the Gallery. She has been a
member of the La Grange Art League for several years and is also a member of
The Elmhurst Art Guild. Elmhurst, Illinois where she received the Best of
Show award in a recent members show.
Her urge to paint full-time blossomed in 2000 after she attended a landscape
painting workshop in Tuscany. Jacque and Gordon return to Europe frequently
to paint and attend workshops where she has expanded her repertoire. The
French impressionist have been the primary influence in her work. Her
paintings appear on the workshop’s website and in their published material.
Jacque and her husband also travel throughout the U.S. combining golf and
painting trips. Her work hangs in private collections in Chicago, Peoria,
Illinois and Italy.
