Dennis Franzen has worked in Chicago as a professional illustrator for 28 years. He began his sculpting career 20 years ago with Roman, Inc. creating a series of wildlife sculptures entitled The Dennis Franzen Collection. He has sculpted for The Bradford Exchange and WildWings, Inc. creating wildlife, wizards and dragons and Christmas collectibles. He started his own company Franzen, Ltd. creating fine art sculptures and collectibles. Commissioned in 2005 to sculpt a 6’ 5” bronze hummingbird led to other commissioned large sculpting pieces as well as other projects such as stained glass, laser metal art, wall murals and fine art digital paintings.
Franzen enjoys working in many different mediums and continues to create fine art as well as his illustration career.
