Andy York is an artist and graphic designer who creates in pen and ink, acrylic paint and digital media. Obsessed with composition and graphic form, Andy searches for conceptual understanding. His work is often created in black and white and inspired by the subconscious. These subconscious creations become an expression of moods, thoughts, feelings and even conscious actions, all taking place throughout the formative process of each work.

Accompanied by his sidekick Holli the Dachshund, Andy shows his work to anyone drawn in by a friendly wagging tail. The Roland Gibson Gallery of Potsdam, New York has exhibited his work and much of his pieces exist in private collections throughout the country.

Andy was raised in the town of Canton, located in rural upstate New York and a half hour from the Canadian border. He attended Alfred University, in a one stoplight town nestled within the hills of western New York. He left these safe confines with a BFA concentrating in graphic design and a minor in art history.

Unable to resist the "big city" experience, Andy has lived in the Chicagoland area since 2005. He currently works as a graphic designer for a package design and branding firm in Naperville, Illinois.
